... Jerusalem ... 22 Just as the new earth and the new heavens will endure by my power, so your descendants and your name will endure ... Isaiah 66 (GNT), 18 ... Jerusalem will be rebuilt, and its PALACE restored. Jeremiah 30:18 (GNT)

In the news: And still, "Egypte my people"!

New Years day 2011, the news:
- Suicide bomber attacked a Coptic Church during a New Years service in Alexandria, Egypt. At least 21 people died and more than 40 others were wounded in the attack.

I'm worried, because of my friends and their family in Egypt.

Further news in January informed us that Coptic churches across Europe - in Egypt this Christian church has been and still is a target - have been the target of treats by Muslim Extremists for the Christmas celebrations on January the sixth. Despite all this Coptic Christians celebrate Christmas with no harm coming to them, but amids security mesures. Days later, there are protests in the streets of Cairo. Again, I'm worried.

On the twenty fifth of January an anti-government revolt started on Tahir Square in Cairo after thousands and thousands of people reacted to an inter net campaign. A big crowd of determined protesters, exercising their fundamental right of expression and assembly, took on to the streets. Soon the revolt spread out to other areas in Egypt. The Arabic Republic of Egypt, the first Middle East country that actually signed a peace agreement with Israel in 1979 (Jordan also did in 1994) is experiencing a revolution. Approximately 5 to 18 percent of the population is a Christian, with about 90 percent of them being Coptic Christians.

My friends, are they all right? I phone them, and I was happy to hear that up to then they and their family in Egypt were fine. He himself just returned from visiting his family. After having some difficulties at the airport in Cairo, he finally could leave. He told me that the church leaders gave permission to their churches for peaceful protests. Especially the youth seemed to be keen in participating in an up coming protest day, now weeks ago. I red a prophecy of Isaiah that he spoke of ages and ages ago.

23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. 24 In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. 25 The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying,
Blessed be Egypt my people,
Assyria my handiwork,
and Israel my inheritance.”
Isaiah 19:23-25

Words, my friend said, that they gave him and would give people in his church hope and comfort. As they do to me, and they also give me peace of mind.

And before Isaiah spoke Moses told the people of Israel the following,
7 Do not despise an Edomite, for the Edomites are related to you. Do not despise an Egyptian, because you resided as foreigners in their country. 8 The third generation of children born to them may enter the assembly of the Lord. Deuteronomy 23:7-8 (NIV)

Some say their is order in chaos.
I say: No! With God their is peace despite chaos.
For God is not a God of disorder but of peace ...
1 Corinthians 14:33

So to God the Father the opposite of disorder is peace. Peace within through forgiveness of our sins by God and forgiveness to each other.

For whom or what could possibly separate those who love and hold on to God the Almighty Father from his love?
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? ...
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39

And still, God the Almighty Father says: "Egypt my people"

God bless you,
