King David's Palace, Jerusalem's Palace?! - David's palace

King David's palace

It was King David that conquered Jerusalem - 2 Samuel 5:1-16 - and according to biblical scripture David built his palace there in Jerusalem. The first Israelite palace built in the city of Jerusalem of that period. Where exactly ? David's palace is believed to be located in The City of David, 2 Samuel 5:6-9 (GNT),

6 The time came when King David and his men set out to attack Jerusalem. ... 9 After capturing the fortress, David lived in it and named itDavid's City.” He built the city around it, starting at the place where land was filled in on the east side of the hill.

Several biblical passages speak of King David's palace - 1 Chronicles 17:1 – of its roof terrace - 2 Samuel 11:2 and 13:21-22 – and of the events that happened there after he fled out of Jerusalem after his son Absalom's coup d'etat, 2 Samuel 15:16, 21-22.

The true burial place of King David is also believed - 1 Kings 2:10-11 - to be in The City of David.

So which palace is the Jerusalem Palace referred to in Jeremiah 30?
