... Jerusalem ... 22 Just as the new earth and the new heavens will endure by my power, so your descendants and your name will endure ... Isaiah 66 (GNT), 18 ... Jerusalem will be rebuilt, and its PALACE restored. Jeremiah 30:18 (GNT)

King David's Palace, Jerusalem's Palace?! - Ultimately

The ultimate Jerusalem

Ultimately Jerusalem - the only city's name written in the palm of God's hand, Isaiah 49:16 - will be as prophesied,
5 Then over Mount Zion and over all who are gathered there, the Lord will send a cloud in the daytime and smoke and a bright flame at night. God's glory will cover and protect the whole city. 6 His glory will shade the city from the heat of the day and make it a place of safety, sheltered from the rain and storm. Isaiah 4:2-6
(GNT)

And,
22 I did not see a temple in the city, because its temple is the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb. 23 The city has no need of the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God shines on it, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The peoples of the world will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their wealth into it. 25 The gates of the city will stand open all day; they will never be closed, because there will be no night there. 26 The greatness and the wealth of the nations will be brought into the city. 27 But nothing that is impure will enter the city, nor anyone who does shameful things or tells lies. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of the living will enter the city. Revelations 21:22-27 (GNT)

Until that ultimate period in time, Jerusalem isn't complete without its Temple and its Palace.
So, all this means that The City of David including David's Palace is actually a building site, which is more than an interesting archaeological site or a place for recreation and entertainment!

Does its current care takers, City of David, the Ir David Foundation and the Israel Antiquities Authority, realize this? Hopefully they are doing God's bidding in Jerusalem, Israel on the issue of rebuilding King David's, Jerusalem's Palace. But remember Psalm 127:1 (GNT),

1 If the Lord does not build the house,
the work of the builders is useless;
if the Lord does not protect the city,
it does no good for the sentries to stand guard.

God bless you,
