Revolution, and they went up Temple Mount!

On Jerusalem Day, this year the second of June marking the 44th anniversary that Jerusalem became theCelebrating Bar Mitswa on the way to the Western Wall undivided capital of Israel in 1967, a day that calls for celebration, even more this year for …

… a Priestly Blessing was given on Temple Mount. This is both exiting and good news given that until recently, actually this date, Jewish people as well as Christians were not allowed to pray on Temple Mount. Even though Temple Mount is the holiest place on earth to Jewish people and Jerusalem is mentioned more than 600 times in the bible.

This was also the case at the time rabbi Chaim Richman of the Temple Institute gave a tour on Temple Mount while explaining this situation, and also experiencing this himself at the time as seen on videos of his tour on Temple Mount. Videos that motivated me to go to Jerusalem and go up the Temple Mount myself in February 2010.

Temple MountIf Jewish people and Christians prayed none the less they could be arrested, as happened to a Jewish man in September 2010.

Muslims do have the freedom to pray on Temple Mount, which they consider to be the third holiest place on earth after Mecca and Medina. But is it as holy to them as it is to Jewish people? With thanks to Redemption 1948 a video with historical facts, and about Muslim activities including them praying but also rioting on Temple Mount

Despite all this and the 'revolution' going on in the region, the Jewish people went instead of to the Western Wall and while facing visible hostilities up Temple Mount -  hostile treatment which is still undeminished - where the Priestley Blessing was given, Numbers 6: 22-27 (NIV):

22 The LORD said to Moses, Western Wall
23 “Tell Aaron and his sons, 'This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:

24 'The LORD bless you and keep you:
25 the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
26 the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.'

27 So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”

Amen,

Y'rushalayim Shel Zahav [Jerusalem of Gold]
Psalm 122 (NIV)
