Prophecies spoken over Jerusalem, the Bride! - God's choice

God's choice: Jerusalem

Jerusalem the Almighty Father's choice despite all,
Zechariah 2:11-13 (NIV),

12 The Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land and will again c h o o s e  Jerusalem. 13 Be still before the Lord, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling. ”

The Almighty Father is determined to restore Jerusalem the city of his choice and the land of Israel,
Zechariah 1:13-17 (NIV),

13 So the LORD spoke kind and comforting words to the angel who talked with me.
14 Then the angel who was speaking to me said, “Proclaim this word: This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘I am very jealous for Jerusalem and Zion, 15 and I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they went too far with the punishment.’

16 “Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,’ declares the LORD Almighty.

17 “Proclaim further: This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and  c h o o s e  Jerusalem.’”

And Jeremiah 31:1-4 (NIV),

1 “At that time,” declares the LORD, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people.” 2 This is what the LORD says:
“The people who survive the sword will find favor in the wilderness; I will come to give rest to Israel.” 3 The LORD appeared to us in the past,[a] saying:
I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
4 I will build you up again, and you, Virgin Israel, will be rebuilt.
Again you will take up your timbrels and go out to dance with the joyful.
[a: Jeremiah 31:3 Or LORD has appeared to us from afar]

He will fight to defend Jerusalem, Isaiah 31:4-5 NIV),

4 This is what the Lord says to me:
“As a lion growls, a great lion over its prey—and though a whole band of shepherds is called together against it, it is not frightened by their shouts or disturbed by their clamor—so the Lord Almighty will come down to do battle on Mount Zion and on its heights.
5 Like birds hovering overhead, the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will ‘pass over’ it and will rescue it.”

He will bring peace and comfort to Jerusalem, Isaiah 66:10-14 (NIV),

12 For this is what the Lord says:
I will extend p e a c e to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream;
you will nurse and be carried on her arm and dandled on her knees.
13 As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”
14 .. the hand of the Lord will be made known to his servants, but his fury will be shown to his foes.
