Christians will feast after the gathering of the Israelites!

Are Christians going to be gathered up in heaven as the congregation to be the bride of the Lamb to feast with him while the Jewish people, the Israelites stay behind on earth to fight in Jerusalem, Israel?

Some Christian theories suggest a …

… ”yes” as an answer to this question. Even though biblical scripture states clearly that the New Jerusalem is the bride of the Lamb and that Jerusalem is entirely Israeli, Revelation 21:9-14. Something else to think about: isn't a bride supposed to have children and become a mother too, Galatians 4:26?

Some would argue that Revelation 19:5-10 tells us about the wedding to which they as Christians are invited. In fact the apostle John, disciple of Yeshua Messiah / Jesus Christ, doesn't write in this passage about witnessing an actual wedding but of what he hears, including the invitation to the wedding supper / feast mentioned to him by the angel that is with him.

Even in the parable of the ten young women - the parable of the ten virgins - mentioned in Matthew 25:1-13, the women waiting inside that go out to meat the bridegroom when the cry of his coming rang out, are guests at the wedding feast and not the bride, Hosea 2 (GNT) tells us:

1 So call your fellow Israelites God's People and
Loved-by-the-Lord. ...

... 19 Israel, I will make you my wife; I will be true and faithful;
I will show you constant love and mercy
and make you mine forever.
20 I will keep my promise and make you mine, and you will acknowledge me as Lord.
21-22 At that time I will answer the prayers of my people Israel.[c]
I will make rain fall on the earth, and the earth will produce grain and grapes and olives. ...
[c: Hos.2:21-Hos.2:22; Israel: The Hebrew text here refers to Israel as Jezreel (see 1:4, 11)]

As what the gathering is concerned, God's promise to gather his people was given first of all to the Israelites as we can reed in Ezekiel 39:28-29,

28 Then my people will know that I am the Lord their God. They will know this, because I sent them into captivity and now gather them and bring them back into their own land, not leaving even one of them behind.29 I will pour out my spirit on the people of Israel and never again turn away from them. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken.

So, the Almighty Father will leave not one of them behind, and they will all at that time be saved, Zechariah 12:10, Roman 11:26.

And the Christians? Those who are truly grafted into God's congregation, his household being Israel, Romans 11 / Ephesian 2:11-22, will be part of all this as guests at the wedding feast. But, it is only those who are part of Jerusalem that should be considered as the bride. Who, is to say whom these people are? God the Almighty Father himself, for he knows his children.

Remember Paul's words concerning the Israelites,

4 the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the c o v e n a n t s, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. 5 Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah. God who is over all be forever praised! Amen.
Romans 9:4-5 (NIV)

And,

… 28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs,
Romans 11:26-28 (NIV)

There can't be a wedding feast without an actual wedding, with bridegroom and bride present, taking place first!
So no feasting for Christians, who are guests at the wedding feast, before God's gathering of all the Israelites is completed.

Hossana to the highest God

God bless you,
