The Kingdom! - The cause?

People's sins

Why will God bring all this devastation over the earth?
5 The people have defiled the earth by breaking God's laws and by violating the covenant he made to last forever. ... 20 ... The world is weighed down by its s i n s; Isaiah 24:5 and 20b (GNT),

The same reason for the flood at the time of Noach.
5 When the Lord saw how wicked everyone on earth was and how evil their thoughts were all the time, ...
Genesis 6:5 (GNT),

Israel in contrast. What about their people's sins?
... 23 They will not defile themselves with disgusting idols any more or corrupt themselves with sin. I will free them from all the ways in which they sin and betray me. I will purify them; they will be my people, and I will be their God. ... Ezekiel 37 (GNT)

21 The Lord says, “Israel, remember this; remember that you are my servant. I created you to be my servant, and I will never forget you. 22 I have swept your sins away like a cloud. Come back to me; I am the one who saves you.” 23 Shout for joy, you heavens! Shout, deep places of the earth! Shout for joy, mountains, and every tree of the forest! The Lord has shown his greatness by saving his people Israel. Isaiah 44:21-23 (GNT)

18 There is no other god like you, O Lord; you forgive the sins of your people who have survived. You do not stay angry forever, but you take pleasure in showing us your constant love. 19 You will be merciful to us once again. You will trample our sins underfoot and send them to the bottom of the sea! 20 You will show your faithfulness and constant love to your people, the descendants of Abraham and of Jacob, as you promised our ancestors long ago. Micha 7:18-20 (GNT)

But, the Almighty Father is also merciful for he will shorten those days because of his chosen people, and like the flood will never happen again - Genesis 9:11-17 - nor will a time like this happen again, Matthew 24:21-22 (GNT),
21 For the trouble at that time will be far more terrible than any there has ever been, from the beginning of the world to this very day. Nor will there ever be anything like it again. 22 But God has already reduced the number of days; had he not done so, nobody would survive. For the sake of his chosen people, however, God will reduce the days.

Israel will be saved - Daniel 12:1-4 - and ultimately the world will be even more blessed through Israel that it is now. That includes forgiveness of sins, Isaiah 43:25 (GNT),
25 And yet, I am the God who forgives your sins, and I do this because of who I am.
I will not hold your sins against you.

Contrary to those who will disappear, people who are and that which is part of what can't be shaken, they will remain and be renewed.
