... Jerusalem ... 22 Just as the new earth and the new heavens will endure by my power, so your descendants and your name will endure ... Isaiah 66 (GNT), 18 ... Jerusalem will be rebuilt, and its PALACE restored. Jeremiah 30:18 (GNT)

The gathering of God's first-born - God's face

Purity required to see God's face

The names of God's first-born are written in heaven!
12 The angel wearing linen clothes said, “At that time the great angel Michael, who guards your people, will appear. Then there will be a time of troubles, the worst since nations first came into existence. When that time comes, all the people of your nation whose names are written in God's book will be saved. Daniel 12:1 (GNT)

... 12 ... Books were opened, and then another book was opened, the book of the living. ... 15 Those who did not have their name written in the book of the living were thrown into the lake of fire. Revelations 20:11-15 (GNT)

Yeshua/Jesus was clear about how important it is to have your name in written in heaven as he said, Luke 10:20 (GNT),
20 But don't be glad because the evil spirits obey you; rather be glad because your names are written in heaven.”

Those who will come to the gathering of God's first-born, they will be the ones in the new Jerusalem and they will see God's face!
3 ... The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will worship him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. Revelations 22:3-4 (GNT)
Obviously standing in front of God's throne doesn't necessarily mean that someone can see God's face.

What did God say to Moses when he showed him his glory, Exodus 33:19-23 (NIV),
20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”21 Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”

Biblical scripture says that those who are pure of heart and thoughts will see his face.
Hebrews 12:14 (GNT): 14 Try to be at peace with everyone, and try to live a holy life, because no one will see the Lord without it.
Matthew 5:8 (GNT):  8 “Happy are the pure in heart; they will see God!
Psalm 24:4 (GNT):  3 Who has the right to go up the Lord's hill? Who may e n t e r his holy Temple?
4 Those who are pure in act and in thought, who do not worship idols or make false promises.
1 Corinthians 13:12
(NIV): 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

The Almighty Father's invitation to come and be closer to him is still out today. Whom will he welcome together with his first-born?
22 Instead, you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, with its thousands of angels. 23 You have come to the joyful gathering of God's first-born, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, who is the judge of all people, and to the spirits of good people made perfect. 24 You have come to Jesus, who arranged the new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that promises much better things than does the blood of Abel. Hebrews 12:22-24 (GNT)

God bless you,
