Where is Israel's King David?

King David was the only ruler in the history of Israel that brought unity within Israel. Established Jerusalem as Israel's undivided capital city and brought peace to Israel's boarders. He was chosen and anointed by God almighty.

For David had done what was right in the eyes of the LORD
and had not failed to keep any of the LORD's commands all the days of his life ...

1 Kings 15:5 (NIV)

God who later promised that when the Israelites return to Israel, he would give them rulers that would rule Israel with wisdom and understanding. It is written in Jeremiah 3:15, 16. Notice that it also says that there would be no covenant box in those days, our days.

15 "Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding. 16 In those days, when your numbers have increased greatly in the land,” declares the LORD, "people will no longer say, 'The ark of the covenant of the LORD.' It will never enter their minds or be remembered; it will not be missed, nor will another one be made."
Jeremiah 3:15-16

I believe God has been keeping this promise to the Israelites to this day. So in time, what is written in Ezekiel 38 verse 11 to 12 will be a reality in the land of Israel. People will be living in peace and security in not walled towns and in cities that were once ruins. They have been gathered from the nations, and now they have livestock and property and live at the crossroads of the world.

11 You will say, “I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. 12 I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land.”
Ezekiel 38:11-12

Winston Churchill?
Who was he? The Balfour Declaration of 1917 provided for a national home land for the Jewish people, Israelites. Wasn't Churchill the Secretary of State for the British Colonies who wrote the White Paper of 1922? Wasn't he the Prime Minister, whose government refused all the Jewish people free access to Israel, even when they were abused and murdered before and at the time of World War II? Wasn't it under his leadership that the Jews who tried to get to Israel anyway were put into camps, similar to concentration camps (not death camps) in nearby places? The British were not unique in what they were doing to the Jewish people. Let's not start about the Vatican State and the Pope. A lot can be said about all this.

Joseph: forgiveness
I say, follow the example of Joseph. He forgave (not trusted) those who hurt him regardless whether they asked him for forgiveness. He took this step in faith. We can read his story in the book of Genesis chapter 37 to 50. Joseph was also motivated by his love for his father Jacob and his brother Benjamin.

What would motivate the Israelites to forgive all those who have been hurting them?

Do those people deserve forgiveness? No. But then, who does?.

Is it difficult to forgive them? Yes. Extremely difficult.

Is it impossible? No.

Is it necessary? Yes.

Why? So God can turn evil into good.

Joseph's words as written in Genesis 50 verse 19 and 20 (GNT),

19 ... I can't put myself in the place of God. 20 You plotted evil against me, but God turned it into good, in order to preserve the lives of many people who are alive today because of what happened.

And David's,

23 Love the Lord, all his faithful people. The Lord protects the faithful, but punishes the proud as they deserve.
24 Be strong, be courageous,
all you that hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:23-24 (GNT)

Where is King David? I believe on his way to Israel!

God bless you,
